Miyamoto (ミヤモト) is a guest fighter from the game Mahou Daisakusen and other games in the series. In Xeno Fighters R, he uses two weapons, both from Mahou Daisakusen, instead of just having his iconic blue wideshot in Battle Garegga and Armed Police Batrider.
Description[]
Miyamoto the Samurai Dragon is a swift-moving fighter who calls on pairs of two different types of assist NPCs to provide him with different types of support firepower. He is one of the few on the roster who has a continuous stream of firing in his main shot: a continuous forward stream of kunai-shaped bullets. Higher power levels increase the density of each burst of bullets. His main weakness is that his attack power is below average, possessing the lowest attack rating in the game. He benefits greatly from the addition of Slaves by his side and switching between his Laser and Missile weapons wisely. His Shinkuu-Giri Bomber instantly deploys, decimating scores of lesser popcorn enemies. However, it is not as effective against larger enemies and bosses.
Loadout[]
Missile weapon[]
Dai Ninjutsu Tsubute: Summons two invincible blue dragons by Miyamoto's side, shooting exploding spheres. The explosions produce three Kanji: dai (大), nin (忍), and jutsu (術). Higher power levels increase the number of spheres shot out per burst, as well as increasing the area of coverage. This weapon is useful for coverage to stop rushes of minor enemies from overwhelming Miyamoto.
Laser weapon[]
Dai Shuriken: Miyamoto summons two invincible green ninjas who shoot rapid bursts of either kunai- or shuriken-shaped projectiles, each in a rather straight forward direction. This weapon gives Miyamoto a valuable high-damage focused option against bosses and large enemies.
Bomber[]
Shinkuu-Giri: Miyamoto slashes violently with his two swords, creating waves of slicing energy that shoot rapidly in a wide arc. It deploys instantly and is highly effective against popcorn enemies. However, its low power makes it ineffective against larger enemies and bosses.
Slaves[]
Standard Raiden F: This is the standard Slave type used in the Raiden Fighters games. Unlike most other ships that use this Slave type, Miyamoto's Slaves form up behind him, since his subweapon NPCs form up by Miyamoto's sides. The Slaves will assume special formations in the same manner, however.
Unlock requirements[]
To be announced.
Trivia[]
- Miyamoto is the third-ever fighter made for Xeno Fighters R, after the Raiden mk-II and the Judge Spear, and was playable in the first ever public version in 2009 with only these three fighters.
- Miyamoto is the only fighter to have been given all three fighter weapon modes during development. He started off as M+L, where his current Missile weapon (Dai Ninjutsu Tsubute) and main shot were powered up individually. Then he changed over to Single mode, where both his Missile weapon and main shot were powered up fully with only 4 powerups. His latest iteration is M/L, when he was given a new Laser weapon, the Dai Shuriken, that he can switch to from his Missile weapon and back.
